My name is Preston Kerr. I am 45 years old, and live in Orange County, California. I have lived here all my life. I was a high school basketball coach for 20 years and a History teacher for 7 years. I now work as home school teacher working with kids of all ages and in various subjects. I am married and have two amazing daughters. I became a Christian when I was seven years old. I lost my father to cancer when I was in high school, and it effected my faith, but not in a negative way. I learned to rely to on my faith to help me through a very difficult time and it really did help shape the man I became. I have been a member of church community for over 30 years serving in many different areas, including drama, where my love for storytelling began. Just before my oldest daughter was born, I began involved in our men’s group serving as a table leader and facilitator, which has helped me even more in writing these two books. I have a strong passion for the material and I am excited when I hear how my stories have moved people and made them think. But the best part is when they say their relationship with God has improved. That to me is better than any book sale. I wrote Betters Days before I got married, and it was published just before my wedding day. I loved writing it, and I loved the way the story is told. I think I told a unique story in a way that isn’t found much today. The story takes places over a ten year period, and each chapter is another year in the lives of my characters. In the Best Days, I took a different approach and while it’s a continuation of where I left off from Better Days, it’s a different feel and a different style in writing. I really do love my stories, and had a great time writing them. I hope you learn something about yourself from reading them, and discover that you are more than your situations and circumstances. You are loved and cherished by a great Lord and Savior.
